في إطار جهودها الإنسانية المستمرة لتلبية الاحتياجات العاجلة في مخيمات النزوح بمحافظة مأرب، أنهت جمعية السلام والتنمية، وبدعم من المنظمة الدولية للهجرة (IOM)، توزيع (454) حقيبة نظافة أساسية وأقراص الكلور للأسر النازحة في مخيمات الكهرباء وكنب روضان والجديدة في مديرية الوادي.
كما تم تسليم كميات من الكلور السائل إلى فرع المؤسسة العامة للمياه والصرف الصحي لمعالجة عدد من الآبار ومصادر المياه الملوثة، في خطوة تهدف إلى الحد من انتشار الأمراض المنقولة عبر المياه.
وتأتي هذه الأنشطة في إطار التزام الجمعية المستمر بتخفيف الظروف الإنسانية الصعبة في المناطق المستهدفة، والتي لا تزال تفتقر إلى الاستجابة الإنسانية الكافية.
وأوضح الأستاذ عبد الله علي، منسق المشروع في الجمعية، أن هذا التدخل جاء استجابة لاحتياجات طارئة تم تحديدها خلال التقييمات الميدانية لعدد من مخيمات النزوح في المديرية. وأشار إلى أن تنفيذ المشروع تم بالتنسيق مع مجموعة المياه والإصحاح البيئي (WASH Cluster)، والمنظمة الدولية للهجرة، والوحدة التنفيذية لإدارة مخيمات النازحين في المحافظة.
وأكد فرج أن المشروع استهدف( 454) أسرة نازحة في ثلاثة مخيمات بمديرية الوادي، بالإضافة إلى مخيم التعاون في مديرية المدينة. وأوضح أن الأسر استفادت من توزيع حقائب نظافة استهلاكية، وحاويات مياه بسعة 20 لتراً، وأدوات تعقيم تحتوي على الكلور، بهدف تعزيز الوصول إلى مصادر مياه آمنة.
ويعد هذا التدخل جزءاً من التزام الجمعية المستمر بدعم النازحين في محافظة مأرب، وتعزيز الجهود الإنسانية لتحسين الظروف المعيشية في ظل التحديات الصحية والبيئية الراهنة.

Peace and Development Association (PDA) Completes Distribution of Hygiene Kits to Displaced Families in Marib with Support from IOM
Marib, Yemen – As part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts to address the urgent needs in displacement camps across Marib Governorate, the Peace and Development Association (PDA), with support from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), has successfully completed the distribution of 454 essential hygiene kits and chlorine tablets to displaced families residing in the camps of Al-Kahraba, Kanab Radhan, and Al-Jadidah in Al-Wadi District.
In parallel, quantities of liquid chlorine were delivered to the local branch of the Public Corporation for Water and Sanitation to disinfect several contaminated wells and water sources, helping to prevent the spread of waterborne disease
This activity comes as part of PDA’s continued efforts to alleviate the severe humanitarian conditions in underserved areas, where access to adequate health and hygiene services remains limited.
Mr. Abdullah Ali, Project Coordinator at PDA, explained that this intervention came in response to urgent needs identified during field assessments of several displacement camps in the district. He noted that the project was implemented in coordination with the WASH Cluster, IOM, and the Executive Unit for IDP Camp Management in the governorate.
Faraj confirmed that the project targeted 454 displaced families in three camps in Al-Wadi District, as well as the Ta’awon Camp in the city district. He added that the families benefited from the distribution of consumable hygiene kits, 20-liter water containers, and chlorine-based disinfection tools to enhance access to safe water sources.
This intervention is part of PDA’s ongoing commitment to supporting displaced people in Marib Governorate and to strengthening humanitarian efforts to improve living conditions amid current health and environmental challenges.
